Leicester City hosted a trial match at Holmes Park yesterday (May 11) which saw youngsters from other Premier League clubs feature.
Several players were on show in front of Foxes coaches and scouts as they worked hard to earn an opportunity at the club for next season.
Players from clubs such as Arsenal, Tottenham and Aston Villa were involved in the match at Holmes Park in Whetstone.
While the primary aim of the match was to assess the trialists, it also gave valuable minutes to current Foxes Dylan Watts, Raúl Uche and Liandro Martis.
Newport County goalkeeper Rhys Davies played in goal for Leicester, with rumours of a £100,000 transfer recently circulating on social media.
Both full-backs in the match have been released from Premier League clubs recently, with Tottenham’s Joe Muscatt (19) on the right and Cyprus Under-19 international Kostas Pileas (18) from Arsenal on the left.
Nigerian Under-17 World Cup winner Habib Makanjuola, formerly of Chelsea, sat in the centre of midfield alongside Colchester United duo Aaron Cosgrove and Tom Carlton, both formerly of West Ham.
Johan Abdoul, an 18-year-old central defender from Aston Villa who has recently played for the Under-18s, was joined in the squad by 21-year-old Villa teammate Jerell Sellars. The winger has spent time on loan in the Football League with Wycombe Wanderers.
Non-league starlet Sid Sollis – who plays for Tonbridge Angels – sat in the number ten role and Lille forward Soriba Sylla, who turned 18 in March, completed the line-up.
