Countesthorpe Baptist Church is launching a new Christianity Explored course this month.
The church, situated in the village of Countesthorpe in south Leicestershire, announced the news via The New Countesthorpe Herald, the village’s monthly newsletter.
The initiative is for people who are looking to learn more about the Christian faith and no prior knowledge or experience is required.
“If you are interested in being part of this free course, which explores the meaning of the Christian faith and hearing the good news that’s for all people, then this course is for you!” says the announcement in The New Countesthorpe Herald.
“If you could ask God one question and you knew it would be answered what would it be?
“Well, Christianity Explored allows you to take the time and space needed to consider the BIG questions of life and to explore the life of Jesus Christ for yourself, the one who is at the heart of the Christian faith.”
“I’m looking forward to seeing what it is all about,” said Jack Allen, a local resident who has just signed up for the course.
“I have always considered myself to be Agnostic, but recent events in my life have led me to re-think my religious outlook. I want to know more.”
The Church also highlighted shocking statistics which show that 245 million Christians were persuecuted in 2019 and 4,136 Christians were killed for their faith in the same year.
These statistics may lead to strong interest in the Church’s new course as people seek the reasons behind such figures.
